Our Mission
American Promise is a social welfare organization as described in the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4). American Promise conducts various programs to educate citizens on the societal benefits of sound economic, regulatory, and legal policies. Such programs and activities include, but not be limited to, public education through speeches, seminars, research, media distribution, interviews, websites, articles, television, radio and newspaper interviews, and other activities for the betterment of society.
The primary function of the organization is to conduct quantitative research on public opinion trends and demographic data. In furtherance of American Promise’s mission, this data serves as the catalyst for the organization’s mission.
Another important operational component of American Promise is to better educate the public at large as to the facts surrounding current events in local, state, national, and global news. To the furtherance of this goal, American Promise also helps citizens to participate in the political process by registering to vote and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
American Promise monitors state and federal legislation that can help or harm economic growth, and urge its adoption or rejection by the appropriate governing bodies. Such actions for legislative involvement and policy advocacy may include public testimony, letters to legislators, or press releases.
Moreover, we also monitor national, state, and local news to ensure the factual portrayal of facts in the media so that the public receives all necessary information to make informed decisions for their ultimate well-being.
